Orange, TX, September 26, 2008 - Aime Pelatan, President of Allsportrating.com and Joe Francis, Vice President, are founders of Allsportrating.com. They started Allsportrating.com to provide an athlete rating formula for amateur and professional athletes. Allsportrating.com has an office in Orange, TX. The latest web site was published in the spring of 2007. Allsportrating president, Aime Pelatan, was contacted by coaches, sport agents, and sport recruiters to create an athlete rating formula.
Mr. Pelatan wanted to give the average athlete an opportunity to participate in sports. Athletes can feature themselves with personal information, personal resume, statistics, photo gallery, messaging system, peer rating, three action performance videos, personal photo, personal athlete rating, and personal URL. An athlete rating gives amateur and professional athletes a chance to participate in sports, get noticed by coaches, sport owners, and researched by recruiters. Allsportrating.com offers a free website for athletes and teams.
Athletes around the world have an opportunity to receive a free web site. After completing an athlete profile the athlete can be featured and receive international exposure.
Allsportrating.com gives athletes an edge with an athlete rating in their field of sports. The athlete rating is a great way for athletes to promote themselves. Athletes will have a better opportunity for scholarships. Teams and schools can manage their team and showcase all the athletes. Coaches have a search tool that allows them to search for athletes geographically by sport and position. Professional team owners can search for prospective athletes.
Joe Francis has been interviewed by Joe Kazmar with the local newspaper, County Record. Aime Pelatan has been interviewed by Fox Sports. The interviews have been submitted for blogs and websites.

Listen to this story from an interview with Allsportrating.com (click here for interview audio)Five months after Blankenship’s Barrow Whalers completed their inaugural season as the northernmost high school football team in America, a Florida woman has become committed to doing everything she can — even potentially getting the U.S. military involved — to keep Whalers football alive for years. Cathy Parker of St. Johns County, Fla., a mother with three sons who play high school football and an 11-year-old daughter, was watching “SportsCenter” last fall when she saw the Whalers’ story, first chronicled in a two-part E-ticket series for ESPN.com last October.

Allsportrating is happy to be associated with Rulon Gardner.
At the 2000 Summer Olympic Games, a determined Wyoming farm boy defeated the greatest Olympic wrestler of all time in “The Miracle on the Mat.” Four years later, after a near fatal accident in the frozen Wyoming wilderness, a tearful Rulon Gardner touched the hearts of sports fans everywhere when he left his shoes on the mat, symbolizing his retirement after winning an Olympic Bronze. Now, in a memoir for anyone who has dreamed about beating the odds, for anyone who believes in blue-collar heroes, comes Never Stop Pushing. A modern-day Paul Bunyan, Rulon Gardner grew up on his Mormon family’s dairy farm, where unceasing chores helped him develop tremendous strength and stamina at an early age. He struggled in school due to learning disabilities and was often the butt of his classmates’ jokes. Yet Gardner found success in wrestling, which allowed him to pursue his college degree and instilled within him the confidence and drive that took him to the center of world sport. Behind one of the greatest upsets in Olympic history is Gardner ’s moving tale of obstacles overcome by his indefatigable will to succeed.

At age 40, after having undergone hip-replacement surgery, Dave Veres is hoping to restart his pitching career with the Rockies. Veres has been out of baseball the past two seasons
(Audio)
Allsportrating wishes Dave a lot of success with the restart.
Dave Veres is hoping to restart his pitching career. At age 40. After having undergone hip-replacement surgery. With the Rockies. Veres has been out of baseball the past two seasons. But after having the surgery in March, Veres felt so good while playing city-league baseball in Castle Rock that he contacted the Rockies. Veres has agreed to a minor league contract with the Rockies, whom he pitched for in 1998 and 1999, with an invitation to major league spring training. Veres hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2003, having spent the 2004 season trying to rehabilitate from right shoulder surgery. The right-hander said he assured Rockies general manager Dan O’Dowd he is serious about resuming his career. “Dan’s big concern was making sure there was no residual effect (from pitching on the hip),” Veres said. “I told him I’m not trying to eke out one more year. I want to pitch three, four more years. My whole career has been built around challenging the odds. That doesn’t bother me.” The Rockies do not comment on players whose contracts are not finalized. Veres said the hip problem is what kept him out of baseball. He initially tried losing weight and started an exercise program to alleviate the pain. It didn’t work. Veres contacted Dr. Peter Lammens of the Panorama Orthopedics & Spine Clinic a year ago and underwent surgery in March. Bo Jackson tried to resume his baseball career after undergoing hip-replacement surgery, but his failed comeback bid was in the early 1990s. “There have been a lot of advancements since then,” Veres said. “The doctor initially didn’t know who I was. He asked me how I hurt my hip, and I told him about pitching. He said, ‘There’s a chance you can pitch again.’ I wasn’t even thinking about that. I was just hoping I’d be able to walk. “As time has gone on, though, I have felt better and thought maybe I’d give it a shot.” Veres said the St. Louis Cardinals, whom he pitched for from 2000 to 2002, expressed interest in giving him a tryout, but “my family and I both felt the first choice would be the Rockies.” Veres has been examined by Rockies officials and has worked out at Coors Field to test the hip to see how it handled the demands of getting prepared for the season. Veres has been throwing on a regular basis, twice a day three times a week, in an attempt to be in top shape by the beginning of spring training. “Most times, you take two months off and get ready, but I had two years off, so I’m moving ahead,” Veres said. “The more I throw, the stronger I feel.” Veres would be considered a long shot, but the Rockies know he is a quality person in the clubhouse, and he was a quality pitcher when he previously was with them. Veres’ 31 saves in 1999 are tied for the third-best single-season total in franchise history. In two seasons with the Rockies, Veres was 7-9 with 39 saves and a 3.99 ERA. ringolsbyt@RockyMountainNews.com Copyright 2007, Rocky Mountain News. All Rights Reserved.

Featuring: Kohl Benjamin, his parents, & 3 Captains from the Douglas County H.S. Football Team!

We are privileged to feature real “Heroes Next Door” with 3 captains from the Douglas County High School Football Team, out of Castle Rock, Colorado, along with Kohl Benjamin and his parents. While the Douglas County football team was advancing to the Class 5A state semifinals, the players found time to adopt an honorary member of the Huskies. Kohl Benjamin is a youth league football player who was fighting his own battle. After he took a hit at practice, the 8-year-old thought he had broken his arm. After further examination, though, Benjamin was diagnosed with bone cancer. When the team heard Benjamin wanted to meet the Huskies, they welcomed him and even made him honorary captain at homecoming. Kohl’s father, Randy, said the family has been overwhelmed, calling the team’s support “terrific and unbelievable.” Of particular note was when the Huskies got together in support of Kohl and shaved their heads . . . right before senior pictures.
Allsportrating is happy to be associated with this team.
